This hunter was setting in a tree stand over a elk wallow during the September rut on one of our private Montana elk hunting properties. Tons of bulls where hitting the wallow all day long and sneaking into the stand proved to be a challenge. Once in the stand the bow hunter tagged this bull elk while it come past the wallow during a afternoon hunt. There where several bulls within sight and his elk hunt here in Montana was topped off with a trophy class mule deer buck over a alfalfa field the following day.
